I’ve been looking to get a Damasko since 2014 and finally took the plunge, thanks to this great retailer. I was looking for the best price and good support and after trying to pull the trigger with a well known Singapore dealer, the experience was confusing, so I contacted FCW and they were friendly, helpful and very competitive, plus they were based in the midlands of the UK. I was told they had a back order and would be available in 4 weeks, however, the delivery turned out to be just 6 days, so chuffed. I’ve read so much about the DS30, all good, too. The specs and price almost defy convention when considering it’s almost 100% manufactured in Germany. Lots of top technical features, so slim and compact and it looks even better than any review. Living in Scotland, I had not been able to see it in the flesh, but on arrival, I was super impressed with size, finish and sheer precision. What a great everyday watch! The leather strap that came with it is a revelation, soft, yet thick, very nice. However, I decided to buy a nice sailcloth strap so it could be used for all situations, I’m not disappointed. The pamphlet that came with it implied that it might run fast at first until it beds in and they weren’t wrong. It was gaining a fair bit in the first day and I was a bit put off, however after 3 days, it’s slowing down a fair bit more and we’ll see how it pans out. To be fair, I’ve been wearing a quartz analogue watch for the past couple of months, so it’s getting used to an automatic again. If you’re thinking of getting one of these just go ahead. First Class Watches are super competitive and I got a great price. Due to the case hardening, I imagine it’ll look new for many years to come. If I can afford another in the future, I know where to come……as long as my better half lets me!

It was pleasing to get a little discount off the very expensive price of my original Garmin watch strap. Cheaper ones are tempting but I didn’t want the slightest risk that the snap on/off catch would fail and I might lose or break the watch!

However I noticed a sinister health warning on the box which led me to call Garmin. How could a watch strap have health risks??? They explained that the warning applies to electronic products and although most electronic products contain the same cocktail of substances that can cause cancer, Garmin decided to put the warning on all of their products (even their watch straps). I’m not sure I’m satisfied with that explanation and if a manufacturer puts such a health warning on their products, the leaflets supplied with the product should definitely explain

Obviously this is not something the retailer can normally influence

This is the first time I had purchased through First Class Watches and was a little apprehensive, I need not have been! I purchased a Radley item and I cannot express how delighted I was with the whole experience from ordering to receipt. My item arrived in perfect condition within 3 days and I was thrilled with my purchase. This company is what I would call 'old school' and customer care and satisfaction is a top priority, pity all companies don't have the same values! Well done to First Class Watches and definitely will be purchasing from them again.
