I'm really impressed with the service rendered by firstclasswatches. I sent a price match request and received a response within a few hours time. My mondaine evo2 30mm was delivered in excellent condition the very next day by DPD. The leather strap is of excellent quality, italian maybe, steel case finish is polished beautifully, and time was already set. What I appreciate the most about this watch is that the seconds hand lines up perfectly with the minute marker every time. It's a pet peeve for me with quartz watches that have a seconds hand that doesn't align. If you want a timepiece that is well sized, classic and truly minimalistic, you can't go wrong with this watch.

This quartz version is incredibly slim (less than 8mm) and will suit absolutely any 20mm strap you can think of. I opted for the more expensive
sapphire crystal over the more usual scratch-prone acrylic, but it makes an expensive watch even more expensive. You have to choose one of the
Max Bill range because you love the look of them. The finish is good, but the specifications really aren't. Little or no water resistance, a basic
quartz movement with a second hand that doesn't hit the markers on the dial. I can forgive these shortcomings because it's an occasional wear
dress watch. And because it looks so damned good.

This is my first time buying an automatic watch (Hamilton Khaki Field) and the service from First Class Watches/James Moore has been great. I ordered late on Friday evening and the watch arrived on Sunday (which was impressive given we were in a bank holiday weekend). The price was also the best offered online.
